4. International Connectivity - iPerf3 TCP IPv4 Single-Thread Speed Test (single 10-second run, 2025-12-09)

Within Hong Kong, CTC seems to perform a little better and has slightly lower latency. CTC is almost stably full-speed both ways in Hong Kong, while JINX download speed to the local machine is clearly lower, possibly because it has less bandwidth headroom.

Toward Asia-Pacific, JINX has lower latency, but upload and download speeds are asymmetric and download is lower; CTC is more stable in speed.

5. Summary

The tests show each has its strengths. At the moment CTC is slightly better in speed, while JINX has better Asia-Pacific latency. Both machines have very large ports, can pull Asia-Pacific nodes easily, and often serve as my speed-test endpoints when writing reviews. As landing nodes, as long as they are not attacked they are still fine. xhj002

IP quality is hard to guarantee, so if you are buying mainly for the IP, forget it. The DNS unlock plus included Emby is a matter of personal preference.

CTC connects China Mobile through Lumen, but current IPv4 Lumen is generally poor, and neither machine can be used for direct mainland connectivity.
